As Maria Bast, director of the construction of the orbital “Mir-2” station, said, the contest for the best concept of the space station «MIR-2» completed 15 September 2016.
According to Maria Bast, 28 applications from Russia, CIS countries and the European Union, Canada were received during the contest, 12 applications were confirmed the month before the completion. Also, Maria Bast said, that only 5 works of the creative groups and individual works are corresponds to the requirements and conditions of the contest. These five works will be the subject of study by scientists and engineers from around the world who will give their opinion on the feasibility of the proposed concepts and choose the winner – individual work or the work of the creative groups.
The winner will be announced on 01 October 2016, and in October will be held the awards ceremony, Maria Bast said.
