According to the press service of Consortium “Space Technologies”, the research conducted by the genetic laboratory commissioned by the consortium was successful: the researchers prepared a conclusion about the possibility of adapting mice to conditions of weightlessness, situations of oxygen starvation, hypothermia and other extreme conditions.
As the Consortium “Space Technologies” told, the data obtained allow us to talk about a change in the approach to space exploration and adapt not the environment to a living organism, but the organism to unusual conditions with the help of gene modifications, both at the embryo stage and in the adult.
