As the director of the construction of the space station MIR-2 Maria Bast said, the Consortium Space technologies announced the winner of the contest for the best concept of the orbital station MIR-2. The jury evaluated the works submitted for the contest, as well as the opinion of the supervisory board of the consortium, the winner is declared the concept of the development team – Alexei Peregoudov, Sergey Lednev and Denis Zakharov, Moscow, who will be awarded the prize of 2,000 dollars US. Also, according to the jury, it is necessary to emphasize the team -Oksana Bassova, Irina Gracheva and Vadim Nagovicyn, Moscow – the group will get the special prize.
As the director for the construction of the space station MIR-2 Maria Bast said, in the evaluation of works was attended by experts from around the world, and among the works presented two groups of participants have shown the greatest creativity and attention to the requirements of the competition – both work provided the mechanism of creation of artificial gravity station.
Also Maria Bast stressed, that the consortium plans to work with Alexei Peregudov together on the implementation of the concept.
As told in the press service of the Consortium Space Technologies, the awards ceremony will be held before the end of October 2016, the date and time will be announced later.
