The supervisory board of the consortium “Space Technologies” said about the achievement of the agreements with the Ministry of the Russian Federation on the development of the Far East and began the selection of land for the private cosmodrome. The choice of the lands is planned for spring 2017. The registration permits for the activities of the cosmodrome will begin in 2017.
As the director of the construction of the space station “Mir-2” Maria Bast said, the decision of the supervisory board of the need to build its own cosmodrome will ensure the delivery of cargo to “Mir-2”, regardless of public or private companies. Own cosmodrome, Maria Bast stressed, need for the permanent communication with the manned orbital complex “MIR-2”.
