16.09.25 Statement by the Consortium Space Technologies on the Kolkhida Cosmodrome, Georgia

Due to the lack of a positive decision and confirmation of a permit for construction work on the construction of the infrastructure of the Kolkhida Cosmodrome in Western Georgia, Lanchkhuti, the Consortium Space Technologies made a statement on behalf of the head of the Consortium, Julia Arkhipova.

“At present, it has not been possible to reach agreements with ministries and officials on the construction of the infrastructure of the Kolkhida Cosmodrome, in connection with which the Consortium Space Technologies is shifting its priority direction from Georgia and giving priority to another work site outside of Georgia.

The Consortium Space Technologies , as the owner of the land plots, will continue to use the land at its own discretion to place enterprises that will provide services to the main enterprise abroad.

The Consortium Space Technologies regrets the loss of jobs for Georgians, the loss of taxes and economic opportunities for the country, but does not see the point in continuing negotiations without progress over the past year.”
Space Technologies attorney Maria Arkhipova published a video summarizing the results of the lengthy negotiation process.
